Poster and postcard sets

Poster A1 “Strike at Hanomag” (1967)

Price 24,00 € incl. shipping
Item number 201

Poster A1 “Strike at Hanomag” 1967 by photographer Joachim Giesel (born 1940).
Climate neutral produced in Germany.

The poster was created on 17 May 1967 as a press photograph for a Hanoverian daily newspaper.
The photograph shows a workers’ strike at Hanomag (Hannoversche Maschinenbau AG). The wall of the factory premises, on which the strikers are sitting, results in a diagonal line running from the front right to the upper left corner. In the background the wall is emblazoned with the large lettering “Hanomag” in white letters. If you look closely, you can probably make out a war veteran at the left edge of the picture, moving away from the camera’s viewpoint – another historical detail of the 1960s is captured here.
